REPRESENTATION

1.reprsentation is the portrayal of  character and the aspects of that character that we identify, such as their appearance and personality. But a movie doesn't have enough time to show every little aspect of s character so the ones we see are often exaggerated, for example not every high school jock is a bully that constantly wears a jersey but for the sake of identifying the character this makes it easier. this is how stereotypes are created.

2. Edward in twilight is an exchange student, he is shown as strange mysterious and out of place, sticking out like a sore thumb. he wears completely the opposite thing to anything the local residents wear and only ever appears in long shots like we're looking  at him from afar

mclovin in superbad is a good example of a desperate virgin, he wears nice clothes to try and look better than other people and acts like he knows exactly what he's doing and does what he thinks he should do or anything to get some ones attention.

Regina George
in mean girls is the typical nasty cheerleader, thinking she's the leader of the whole school because she looks better than everyone else always wearing the latest fashion and looking down on people constant close ups are used to show her judgemental facial expressions

3.  Evan in superbad is a character that means well but that you begin to hate as he fails at every opportunity you begin to almost yell at him to do the reasonable thing instead of being himself but again he chooses to be the sensitive guy.
