Evaluation: Question 1.

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Depending on the genre of the movies they usually consist of coming of age, first loves, gangs, rebellion, conflict with parents, teen angst, difficult choices or alienation. Teen films are more likely to be incorporated with drama, action, comedy, horror, romance and thriller.
Stereotypes such as the cheerleader,  the 'it' crowd, the jock, the nerd and the blond bimbo are found in most teen movies.

My teen movie opening consists of a gang who are chasing a female character as in movies they are usually thought to be the weaker sex who are easier to attack. The opening which I created comes under the genre of horror mainly and action as there is a chase scene where the gang are chasing the female character.

The idea for the opening of my movie came from the movies attack the block and the blair witch project which are categorised as action and horror.

The conventions of a title sequence is that the producers and distributers are listed first and then comes the names of the actors, and then the music and costumes creators. They follow a strict order as it is usually in order of importance of the creating of the movie.
